Color Work of the Month: Building in Color Class

Third Saturdays from 11:30-12:30 April is seaming and open to Building Blocks and Building in Color students
Ladanya will be teaching in Spain in May, June, July and we'll pick the series up when she is back
Building in Color is the perfect project to enhance your knitting skills by learning how to work with multiple colors of yarn. This series will teach you 10 color-work skills while making a beautiful blanket. Even if you don't want to make the whole blanket, you can make a pillow while learning the colorwork skill.
Time: One 1-hour class; enroll in these individually at $32.00 each.
Level 2 Angora: ready to add to your staple skills, have been practicing knitting and purling or chaining and ready to read a pattern
Skills you need:
- Knit
- Purl
- Long-tail cast-on (or come by before class for a quick lesson). Here’s a video tutorial from our friends at Wool and the Gang
- A sense of adventure!
Skills you will learn:
- A variety of new stitches!
Materials:
- 2,880 yards of worsted weight yarn in 3 different colors. Six skeins (960 yards) per color.
- You want colors that will contrast. Select a light, medium, and dark color to achieve desired contrast.
- US 8-10 needles
- Stitch markers
- Building in Color Book, by Michelle Hunter
Preparation:
- You will get to the fun stuff quicker if you have cast on the panel as specified in the book.
Ladanya Ramirez Surmeier first learned to knit with a friend, but only knew the two main stitches for many years. After taking the Building Blocks series she gained the confidence to take on more challenging projects. She loves knitting lace patterns because they are nice and airy. She is making sweaters now!
Every computer monitor is calibrated differently. Slight variations in tone and saturation will vary from monitor to monitor. The actual color of your item may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.
Return Policy
To protect you from odd dye lots, odors, or allergens, yarn may not be returned. We want to be sure that each skein you get has come direct from the dyer, to the shop to you. Full priced items other than yarn may be exchanged for shop credit if Fuzzy Goat receives the item within 2 weeks of when you received the item.
To be eligible for an exchange, there must be proof of purchase, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition when Fuzzy Goat receives it. Shop credit will be for the items purchased and not inclusive of shipping. We recommend insuring your package as we cannot credit returns for items that do not arrive.
If you are requesting to cancel an order, within two hours of your order and we have not wound your yarn and it has not yet reached our Fulfillment Maven, we will issue you shop credit for your whole order. (We incur quite a few non-refundable fees from our merchant services as soon as your order is placed)

Missed Coupon Policy
If you make a request, within the hour of your order, for us to retroactively apply coupon codes or gift card codes not entered at checkout we will need to deduct the merchant processing fees that we will be assessed. We will issue your difference in shop credit to be used in 60 days. Please be sure to fully enter your coupon code or gift card before completing checkout. Use all caps if coupon code is in all caps and Birthday coupons do include the word Birthday
Shipping Policy
We currently automatically ship within the United States, if you would like us to ship outside the US, contact us and we can make arrangements for you. Please allow between 5-10 days for your order to arrive. If more than 10 days have passed please email us at heyfuzzy@fuzzygoatyarns.com to review the status of your order.
If you have ordered one of our subscription boxes or a pre-order item, please take note of the later dates those are expected to ship.
