THOMopoly GameRegular price $44.00
Fuzzy Goat (and all our favorites & neighbors) is tickled to be part of Thomasville Center for the Arts own version of the classic Monopoly game - THOMopoly. Professionally and whimsically designed. Fuzzy Goat card signed by Cadence (you can request an unsigned game in your order notes).
Here's a really interesting National Public Radio story about the origins of Monopoloy, how Lizzie Magie invented the game rather than Charles Darrow. She wanted to teach the idea that income inequality might be addressed by taxing wealthy landowners. To further her cause we are donating 100% of our proceeds to Thomasville Habitat for Humanity, assisting families with homeownership.
Complete with all the classic components, but with a uniquely Thomasville twist. You can roll the dice and play your way through Thomasville and "purchase" some of your favorite local businesses. You'll enjoy this twist even if our town is as unknown to you as Boardwalk and Park Place. And it brings home the idea that local businesses are really owned by just regular small town people.
Focusing on the creative entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers in downtown Thomasville and the Creative District. In addition to Fuzzy Goat, you'll find:
- Taste of Thomasville & Lapham Patterson House (Mr. Fuzzy Goat's gigs)
- The Bookshelf
- Empire Bagel and Delicatessen
- Hubs & Hops
- Grassroots Coffee Company
- Southlife Supply Co
- The Hare and the Hart
- and more!
And Cadence can attest, that there are plenty of options for conversational knitting to happen 🧶
