Learn to knit lace AND one of our most popular cardigans from "Sweaters Together" Melissa! Casapinka's Look, Squirrel is a top-down and seamless circular yoke sweater that knits up quickly with DK weight yarn. Cadence saw this sweater on Casapinka when she visited Fuzzy Goat a while ago and HAD to make it! 🐿 It is universally flattering. This pattern is for those who are easily distracted by shiny or moving things. Once you get through the yoke, you can go squirrel spotting all day while knitting. If you would like to make your sweater short-sleeved, you'll discuss that option in class.

Time: Four 2-hour classes, some class sessions may be only an hour, all sessions will start at 2:30/11:30 (we don't anticipate being able to arrange make-up classes or swap into another session, but we can share our notes)

Please pick a series that works for you, the Friday and Saturdays are not swapable

Fridays: April 14, 21, May 12, June 2, 2:00-4:00 FULL
Saturdays: April 15, 22, May 13, June 3, 2:00-4:00

Level 3 Alpine: starting to climb, able to knit and purl, knit in the round and increase and decrease and finished a few projects

Skills you need: 

  • knit and purl stitch
  • binding off and long tail cast on
  • knitting in the round, have finished a circular project
  • have successfully used a knitting pattern
Skills you’ll learn:
  • reading a gauge swatch
  • sizing, measuring yourself and ease in sweaters
  • marking up your sweater pattern
  • short rows for the back neck
  • reading lace charts
  • putting sleeves "on-hold" and picking the stitches up later
  • picking up stitches for the button band
  • customizing the length of your sweater and sleeves
  • discussing different needle options for sleeves (magic loop, double point, small circular)
  • LOTS of classes in one series!
  • to be super excited about knitting a sweater!!!
Materials:
  • Casapinka Look, Squirrel pattern
  • DK weight yarn
  • Highlighter tape
  • Stitch markers
  • Waste yarn or circular stitch holder for the sleeves
  • Tapestry needle
  • Needles in the following sizes or size needed for gauge
    • US 4 32-40"
    • US 6 32-40"
    Preparation: Do your gauge swatch as per pattern instructions (can be knit flat!)

    Melissa Johnson is your Yarnista helping you plan your projects, texting you back & taking your phone orders! Melissa is an avid knitter, especially of sweaters (tennis & bridge player too). She taught herself to knit when she was living in Rhode Island right after college. She has three kids that keep her busy so we are very fortunate to have her serving alongside us!
     

    IN-SHOP CLASS COVID POLICIES 

    Masks in class are required due to close proximity of everyone at the class table.

    Every computer monitor is calibrated differently. Slight variations in tone and saturation will vary from monitor to monitor. The actual color of your item may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

    Return Policy

    To protect you from odd dye lots, odors, or allergens, yarn may not be returned. We want to be sure that each skein you get has come direct from the dyer, to the shop to you. Full priced items other than yarn may be exchanged for shop credit if Fuzzy Goat receives the item within 2 weeks of when you received the item. 

    To be eligible for an exchange, there must be proof of purchase, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition when Fuzzy Goat receives it. Shop credit will be for the items purchased and not inclusive of shipping. We recommend insuring your package as we cannot credit returns for items that do not arrive.

    If you are requesting to cancel an order, within two hours of your order and we have not wound your yarn and it has not yet reached our Fulfillment Maven, we will issue you shop credit for your whole order. (We incur quite a few non-refundable fees from our merchant services as soon as your order is placed)

    Missed Coupon Policy

    If you make a request, within the hour of your order, for us to retroactively apply coupon codes or gift card codes not entered at checkout we will need to deduct the merchant processing fees that we will be assessed. We will issue your difference in shop credit to be used in 60 days. Please be sure to fully enter your coupon code or gift card before completing checkout. Use all caps if coupon code is in all caps and Birthday coupons do include the word Birthday

    Shipping Policy

    We currently automatically ship within the United States, if you would like us to ship outside the US, contact us and we can make arrangements for you. Please allow between 5-10 days for your order to arrive. If more than 10 days have passed please email us at heyfuzzy@fuzzygoatyarns.com to review the status of your order. 

    If you have ordered one of our subscription boxes or a pre-order item, please take note of the later dates those are expected to ship.
