Want to try a little needlepoint? Want to create a piece of folk art? We are very proud to offer these selected needlepoint canvases of the Southern artist, Clementine Hunter, and to support her legacy.
Clementine Hunter (1886-1988) is a self-taught Black folk artist from the Cane River region of Louisiana, who lived and worked on Melrose Plantation. She started working as a farm laborer when young, and never learned to read or write. In her fifties, she began to sell her paintings, which soon gained local and national attention for their complexity in depicting Black Southern life in the early twentieth century. She is the first African-American artist to have a solo exhibition at the New Orleans Museum of Art. The sale of these canvases benefits Ms. Hunter's estate.

Return Policy
To protect you from odd dye lots, odors, or allergens, yarn may not be returned. We want to be sure that each skein you get has come direct from the dyer, to the shop to you. Full priced items other than yarn may be exchanged for shop credit if Fuzzy Goat receives the item within 2 weeks of when you received the item.
To be eligible for an exchange, there must be proof of purchase, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. We recommend insuring your package as we cannot credit returns for items that do not arrive.
