Tools We Love

Do you like your projects easy going or a little more complicated?
Here are shop samples that you all are casting on too! Join us!

  • Well, I have obviously been leaning toward the complex and the lace-filled lately, like my newly finished project, the Damask shawl (by Kitman Figueroa) which I made with some of our favorite Savannah Sock from Copper Corgi in Rosabilly. If you’re looking for something to really get lost in, or like a lot of us right now need something guaranteed to really hold your attention, we couldn’t recommend this yarn/pattern combo enough. It’d even look great no matter what Savannah Sock dye color you chose.

  • Opal Sock Yarn - it’s not just for socks! It’s softness, durability, self-striping bright color palettes, and sustainability all mean it makes perfect baby clothes too! Like this most precious Baby Surprise Jacket 👶🧥🎉 Just add some vintage, thrift-found or leftover buttons and you’ve got the cutest baby garment that manages to be both timeless (the cut is based on a pattern from 1968!) and full of quirky fun! We’re truly not sure any of our other shop samples are quite this darn cute. Pattern is originally by Elizabeth Zimmerman, but an updated version is available thanks to her grandson, Cully!

  • The Weekender Light Melissa has knit hers in two colors. A very easy sweater that is also very wearable. Melissa's is knit in our Traveling Yarn and you can use any fingering yarn. And new knitter, Beverly, has knit three in the original The Weekender worsted version in Shepherd's Wool.
