Fuzzy Goat is so fortunate to have good friends who look out for us! My friend Gail who owns Longmont Yarn Shoppe in Colorado has put together this FANTASTIC Fiberside Chat series and thought to include US, along with our other friends at Bella Filati Luxury Yarns in North Carolina and The Studio Knitting and Needlepoint in Kansas. How fun is this!!!! Gail has worked it out so that the designers get their deserved share, Gail gets a bit for all her work and Fuzzy Goat benefits as well when you enroll with us! Each meet-up will have a $20 registration fee
These gatherings, hosted on Zoom, will be one-hour sessions with special guests joining us to give a peek into their world. These designers and creators will discuss their unique path, creative processes, latest projects—or whatever is inspiring them now. There will also be a Q&A session, giveaways, and other fun surprises for those who join!
We expect a large turnout for Fiberside Chats, and we hope you will join us. Sign up early to secure your seat!
Join us for a Zoom chat with Bristol Ivy: Thursday, May 21 at 7 EST
Bristol loves to teach and talk about the fundamental underlying structure of knitted garments, which makes her one of our most beloved designers.
In addition, her background in social anthropology prompts her to pause and consider how the COVID 19 Pandemic is impacting fiber lovers, and finds a silver lining in the opportunity that virtual gatherings provide through a platform for even more people to have access to designers and their work from the comfort of their home. This hour with Bristol will be so FUN!!
Bristol Ivy is a knitting designer, teacher, and author from Bangor, Maine. Her work has been published with PomPom Magazine, amirisu, Quince & Co., Making Magazine, and her own eponymous pattern line. She has taught at such events as Squam Art Workshops, Edinburgh Yarn Festival, and Vogue Knitting Live, as well as yarn shops worldwide. Her recent books, Knitting Outside the Box and Knitting Outside the Box: Drape and Fold, both with PomPom Press, explore her lifelong commitment to breaking rules and finding beauty in unexpected places. When not knitting, she’s sewing, running, watching far too many British murder mysteries, and baking a mean loaf of oatmeal honey bread. Find her online at bristolivy.com and on Instagram and Twitter as @bristolivy.
