Learn to Knit • Sunday, 12/23 & Wednesday, 12/26

Jumpstart your knitting hobby and learn all of the basics in our two week class.
You will get started on knitting your first scarf (which can be seamed to be an infinity scarf and/or doubled to be a cowl).

Time: Two 2-hour classes

Level 1 Nubian: fun and easy, no experience necessary

Skills you need: Absolutely no prior skills are necessary

Skills you’ll learn:

  • basic fiber education


  • 250-300 yards worsted weight wool, wool blend or other natural fiber in a light color. We suggest Manos Algeria Grande, Ewe Ewe Wooly Worsted, Stonehedge Fiber Mill Shepherd’s Wool
  • US#9 (5.5mm) needles
  • darning needle

Optional Materials:

  • Recommendations: For the best early experience we recommend that you do not use straight metal needles, cotton or acrylic fibers or dark colors.

Preparation: Be sure to come to the shop early enough to have your supplies purchased and your yarn wound into balls before the start of class.

Tiffany Evitts started knitting about a year and a half ago, inspired to create knitwear during a winter in New Jersey. While it started out of necessity, it was soon a full-blown obsession, which led to her working here at Fuzzy Goat and consuming every bit of knitting and fiber knowledge possible!
