Kim Schoffel learned to crochet one summer when she was about 11, and her grandmother got tired of her telling her she was bored. She learned by making pot holders and coasters, then doilies and granny squares. Kim is learning to knit, but crochet is so dear to her heart because she watched her great-grandmother, both grandmothers, mother, stepmother, and now her own 3 (grown) children crochet. Knowing it’s a family tradition they can share makes her happy! Kim is a budget manager for a state agency, her husband and she are almost empty nesters who are looking forward to travels in the future. Besides crochet, she really enjoys reading, baking, and watching pollinators and birds.
