Grapefruit Pink Lady Top

Grapefruit Pink Lady, by Thea Colman is a cute, fresh piece you can add to your wardrobe right now. It’s an easy knit, and the perfect thing to wear with a linen dress or high waisted bottoms in Spring, then layered with a longer shirt and jeans as the weather cools again. The delicate lace is very simple and totally subtle, but it’s also detailed enough to hold its own. The hem is lined from below the pattern so the rib pattern flows into the lace, and then I made sure the ribbing was nice and deep, both at collar and hem. Thea added a wide neckline for that collar, and made sure the shoulders wouldn’t be too narrow, so a bra or tank doesn’t have to peek out. Detail along each armhole finishes the pattern off neatly, so your pattern edges are crisp and perfect.

Time: Four 2-hour classes, July 19, August 2, 16, 30, Saturdays: 2:00-4:00 

Level 3 Alpine: starting to climb, able to knit and purl, knit in the round and increase and decrease in knitting and finished a few projects

Skills you need: 

• knit and purl stitch
• lace stitches: yarn overs and decreases
• knitting in the round, have finished a sweater project
  
• have successfully used a knitting pattern
• a gauge swatch
• sizing, measuring yourself and ease in sweaters
• marking up your sweater pattern

Skills you’ll learn:

• knitting with plant fibers
• reading lace charts
• seaming: mattress stitch
• picking the sleeves up later
• LOTS of classes in one series!
• to be super excited about knitting this sweater!!!

Materials:

• Thea Colman's Pink Grapefruit Top pattern
• Sandnes Garn Tykk Line  A cotton/linen blend perfect for summer. 
  • For this class we ask that you use Fuzzy Goat yarn. Your purchase helps sustain us to be around for years to come. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Let us know if you have any questions.
• Needles:US 7 32 & 16”, US 6 16" long and/or DPNs for small circumference knitting or the size needed to obtain gauge
• Highlighter tape
• Stitch markers

Preparation: 

• Do your gauge swatch as per pattern instructions (in the round!) Gauge swatch in the round
• Cast on with cable cast-on

She taught herself to knit when she was living in Rhode Island right after college. She has three adult kids that keep her busy so we are very fortunate to have her serving alongside us!

Return Policy

To protect you from odd dye lots, odors, or allergens, yarn may not be returned. We want to be sure that each skein you get has come direct from the dyer, to the shop to you. Full priced items other than yarn may be exchanged for shop credit if Fuzzy Goat receives the item within 2 weeks of when you received the item. Curated boxes are not eligible for returns  

To be eligible for an exchange, there must be proof of purchase, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition when Fuzzy Goat receives it. Shop credit will be for the items purchased and not inclusive of shipping. We recommend insuring your package as we cannot credit returns for items that do not arrive.

If you are requesting to cancel an order, within two hours of your order and we have not wound your yarn and it has not yet reached our Fulfillment Maven, we will issue you shop credit for your whole order. (We incur quite a few non-refundable fees from our merchant services as soon as your order is placed)

Missed Coupon Policy

If you make a request, within the hour of your order, for us to retroactively apply coupon codes or gift card codes not entered at checkout we will need to deduct the merchant processing fees that we will be assessed. We will issue your difference in shop credit to be used in 60 days. Please be sure to fully enter your coupon code or gift card before completing checkout. Use all caps if coupon code is in all caps and Birthday coupons do include the word Birthday

Shipping Policy

 

We currently automatically ship within the United States, if you would like us to ship outside the US, contact us and we can make arrangements for you. Please allow between 5-10 days for your order to arrive. It may take us longer during big sale promotions. If more than 10 days have passed please email us at heyfuzzy@fuzzygoatyarns.com to review the status of your order. 

If you have ordered one of our subscription boxes or a pre-order item, please take note of the later dates those are expected to ship.

We make every effort to reuse boxes, bubble wrap, and other stuffing for shipping whenever possible. We do focus on our foot-print and where our lovely vendors are located. We are constantly on the hunt for more eco-friendly, cost-efficient options that also keep your precious yarn safe and dry.
