Would you like your yarn wound into center pull balls? If so, let us know in your cart "order notes" section!
We love shepherd's wool for its softness, consistency, great stitch definition and affordability.
250 yards, 100% wool
This 166-year old working farm in the upper part of Michigan is located at the mouth of the Jordan River. They have been processing yarn here since 1999 but have been working with fiber for over 30 years. Shepherd’s Wool Yarn is made from a wonderfully soft Merino top, which is the softest of sheep’s wool. Not only do they dye wool from their own flocks, but they also spin it on their own machines. We offer their 3-ply worsted weight (and worsted spun) in pleasing colors. Because it is worsted spun, the yarn gives off a very smooth appearance which is great for stitch definition and intricate patterns such as lace or cables. They were the suppliers of yarn for the Ralph Lauren designed 2014 US Olympic team sweaters.
Pattern Idea: The Trimont Snood by Sylvia Hager! You could get by with one skein and it would be just a little shorter.
