Vespertine is an ode to all things that come alive at night. Cables and bobbles inspired by vining moonflowers are knit in lofty, superbulky weight wool and bordered in twisted ribbing. Increases incorporated into the stitch pattern create an a-line silhouette, drapingthe cowl gently around your neck or over one shoulder. We'll include a Ravelry download for the Vespertine Cowl by Carina Spencer
Post Box, Starry Night and Butterscotch include 2 skeins of Manos del Uruguay Franca (100% Superwash Merino, 114 yards, Bulky weight). Natural includes 3 skeins of Urth Koozoo ( 100% Superwash Merino, 66 yards, Bulky weight)
Pattern is written for one size. Finished measurements are after blocking and unstretched. The bottom edge of the cowl is very stretchy.
top circumference: 26½“, bottom circumference: 40”, height: 12”
Use 24” US 15 needle, plus cable needle and stitch markers
So as not to start a third skein of Franca, we suggest eliminating the final three rows of ribbing, which Melissa did in our sample.
