This is an in-person class at Fuzzy Goat! Please review our class policies before enrolling. Adults only please

This is the sweater that both Melissa and Cadence are the most proud of! The class will get you through the key learning points but is not scheduled to get you through to the end of the sweater - you will work the tricky cast on, ribbing and the colorwork with a new colorwork technique. Please be sure and read the skills you need for the class.

Time: Four 2-hour classes, some class sessions may be only an hour, all sessions will start at 2:00

Saturdays: May 4, 11, 25, June 8 2:00-4:00

Level 4 Cashmere: ready to add expert techniques, able to tangle with advance techniques

Skills you need: 

  • knit and purl stitch
  • knitting in the round, have finished a sweater project
  • have successfully used a knitting pattern
  • have done at least simple colorwork (this isn't a beginner class on working with two colors at one time)
  • working with charts
  • a gauge swatch
  • sizing, measuring yourself and ease in sweaters
  • marking up your sweater pattern
  • putting sleeves "on-hold" and picking the stitches up later
Skills you’ll learn:
  • tubular cast one
  • german short rows
  • short rows IN colorwork
  • ladderback jacquard with one and two colors
  • using multiple charts at one time
  • increasing in colorwork
  • LOTS of classes in one series!
  • to be super excited about knitting this sweater!!!
Materials:

  • Tomomi Yoshimoto's Drawing Sweater pattern

  • Yardage varies by size and chosen for your sweater - the pattern calls for Sport and we used DK, you can use either if you get gauge but we do not recommend using Sport for one color and DK for the other, the two yarns should be the same weight. We also used one color for MC (pattern suggests using one or two colors)

  • We sure do appreciate it when you use Fuzzy Goat yarn in your Fuzzy Goat classes. Your purchase helps sustain us to be around for years to come. 

  • Needles vary by weight chosen for your sweater or size needed for gauge

        Melissa Johnson is your Yarnista helping you plan your projects, texting you back & taking your phone orders! Melissa is an avid knitter, especially of sweaters (tennis & bridge player too). She taught herself to knit when she was living in Rhode Island right after college. She has three kids that keep her busy so we are very fortunate to have her serving alongside us!

        Every computer monitor is calibrated differently. Slight variations in tone and saturation will vary from monitor to monitor. The actual color of your item may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

        Return Policy

        To protect you from odd dye lots, odors, or allergens, yarn may not be returned. We want to be sure that each skein you get has come direct from the dyer, to the shop to you. Full priced items other than yarn may be exchanged for shop credit if Fuzzy Goat receives the item within 2 weeks of when you received the item. 

        To be eligible for an exchange, there must be proof of purchase, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition when Fuzzy Goat receives it. Shop credit will be for the items purchased and not inclusive of shipping. We recommend insuring your package as we cannot credit returns for items that do not arrive.

        If you are requesting to cancel an order, within two hours of your order and we have not wound your yarn and it has not yet reached our Fulfillment Maven, we will issue you shop credit for your whole order. (We incur quite a few non-refundable fees from our merchant services as soon as your order is placed)

        Missed Coupon Policy

        If you make a request, within the hour of your order, for us to retroactively apply coupon codes or gift card codes not entered at checkout we will need to deduct the merchant processing fees that we will be assessed. We will issue your difference in shop credit to be used in 60 days. Please be sure to fully enter your coupon code or gift card before completing checkout. Use all caps if coupon code is in all caps and Birthday coupons do include the word Birthday

        Shipping Policy

        We currently automatically ship within the United States, if you would like us to ship outside the US, contact us and we can make arrangements for you. Please allow between 5-10 days for your order to arrive. If more than 10 days have passed please email us at heyfuzzy@fuzzygoatyarns.com to review the status of your order. 

        If you have ordered one of our subscription boxes or a pre-order item, please take note of the later dates those are expected to ship.

        Shipping Rates: 
        less than $20.00 = $5.40
        $20.00-$49.99 = $8.90
        $50.00-$99.99 = $9.80
        $100 and up = $13.90
