Anticipate a Fuzzy Revolution: Nourishing Your Soul is on the Horizon

Anticipate a Fuzzy Revolution: Nourishing Your Soul is on the Horizon

I’m a lot like you, I used to have a hard time finding patterns that I wanted to knit and indie yarns that were of the quality I could trust. We hear this all the time from our Fuzzy Fans. At the time, I didn’t have a relationship with a local yarn shop (near or far) and the yarns I was able to get just didn’t feel great in my hands, or to wear. I didn’t feel like I knew anything about where they came from and if I was going to spend so much time with the project, I wanted to feel good about the materials I was using.

At that time, even if I had my knitting needles raring to go, I just couldn’t sort out tested patterns that would delight me in the making. Then I discovered that if I spent enough time searching Ravelry with the right filters, and then dug down into the projects that were made in those patterns, that I increased my chances of joy in the making and the wearing. I do like a little bit of a challenge in my projects, but I want to reduce frustration.

learn more in the video below:

We love finding these makers and telling their stories, stories of makers making the world lovely. And YOU are adding the next chapter when you work with these materials.

In my next blog post & video, I’ll share more about how once I find the project and yarn, I can do even more to increase my joy in the making.

(though I primarily referred to knitting, I do a little crochet and am equally curious about your experience with crocheting too)

Scroll down and leave a comment about what keeps you from finding the right project and yarn? I’d love to know!

I’ve been knitting and crocheting for over 50 years. I love the variety of yarns and patterns that are in the Fuzzy Goat Boxes. It gave me a chance to try yarns and combinations of yarns together that I would not think would work together.

I have a hard time parring the right yarn to the pattern I want to knit. I also have a harder time putting colors together that compliment each other!

Hi wonderful Goats!! I do alot of knitting and crochet to get a change from designing glass and bead work. I am always looking for patterns to use up my many scraps! In my 80s and hard to get up to shop sooo am always excited to see or hear your news letter! This last Christmas I helped a friend in Pittsburgh, PA make projects for an elementary schools children to buy with little $ for present to family or friends. I found this very rewarding!! Hope you have a very great year with Fuzzy Goat!!

I love watching you and Melissa every week. however I have problems finding trouble reading the patterns at time. Well just not reading but understanding the pattern! I tend to make my own design which do not look like the picture of the pattern. Love to knit all the time creating some thing out of some great yarn.

I’d love to purchase yarns from you. I crochet and I wish you had more patterns and yarn suggestions for people who crochet. I can’t wear anything that’s 100% wool. And I’d love to move away from acrylics. I’d love to order your boxes of treats for Christmas etc but they seem to be more knit centric. Looking forward to seeing more fuzzy goat
