Why Is The Ranunculus So Popular?
As Melissa has been planning out her next round of what we call her Lacey Pullover Class series, where she teaches our local 🐐s to knit Midori Hirose's Ranunculus Sweater, we've talked a LOT about why this pattern is one that gets recommended (+ knitted) over and over again. These are also all reasons why it makes a great class for beginner sweater knitters!
Here's what Melissa has to say:
🧶 Uses a 10 needle
🧶 1 Pattern but many yarn options - can use anything from lace to worsted
🧶 Uses a relatively small quantity of yarn for a sweater pattern
🧶 Some sizes only take 1 skein
🧶 Many design options in the pattern which give you room to customize
🧶 Goes fast! 🏃
🧶 All sizes are the same until the raglan starts
Melissa's Yarn Picks for Making Your Next Ranunculus:
Tip: We like a mid-weight yarn like DK or Sport - or holidng two thinner yarns together - for a less "open" looking sweater, but if you want a really open, airy look, Sock yarn is best
