Our neighborhood school is Harper Elementary School, just 4 blocks from Fuzzy Goat. We feel a particular care for these students who 91% participate in the free lunch program and go home to food insecure situations as well as experience a lack of basic educational supplies. We look for opportunities to partner with the school whenever we can; we have hosted the students in the shop for fiber arts activities, welcome the students into a Main Street business and talk with the students about small business. 

Principal Pamela Cloud says a current need for her 99% black students is for funds for rewards to encourage academic achievement. Harper gives the students who reach a specific academic goal a gift certificate to some of our local general merchandise stores.
