Sitzmark Colorwork Pullover Class, 4/18 & 25, 5/9 & 30, 6/13

We saw Caitlin Hunter's Sitzmark on Instgram and knew we had to make it! Cadence, Melissa and Madelyn all started plotting and Melissa immediately thought of offering a class! Inspired by vintage ski sweaters and named for the iconic slope-side bar/restaurant at Alyeska, this yoke sweater is knit in DK weight. Sitzmark is also a word for the depression, hole, or indentation left by a skier falling backward in the snow! ;) A great first colorwork project.

Sitzmark is knit from the top down in the round featuring short row shaping for the back neck and a bold yoke motif and colorwork sleeve details.

Saturdays, 4:00-6:00 pm-  April 18 & 25, May 9 & 30, June 13

Time: Five 2-hour classes, some class sessions may be only an hour, all sessions will start at 4:00 (we don't anticipate being able to arrange make-up classes but we can share our notes)

Level 3 Alpine: starting to climb, able to knit and purl, knit in the round and increase and decrease and finished a few projects

Skills you need: 

• knit and purl stitch
• lace stitches: yarn overs and decreases
• knitting in the round, have finished a sweater project, can be your first colorwork project
• have successfully used a knitting pattern
• a gauge swatch

Skills you’ll learn:

• short rows (using german short rows instead of wrap and turn)
• reading charts
• tubular bind off
• working with 2 colors at a time
• ladderback jacquard method of colorwork (optional)
• putting sleeves "on-hold" and picking the stitches up later
  
• customizing the length of your sweater and sleeves
  
• discussing different needle options for sleeves (magic loop, double point, small circular)
• LOTS of classes in one series!
• to be super excited about knitting a sweater!!!

Return Policy

To protect you from odd dye lots, odors, or allergens, yarn may not be returned. We want to be sure that each skein you get has come direct from the dyer, to the shop to you. Full priced items other than yarn may be exchanged for shop credit if Fuzzy Goat receives the item within 2 weeks of when you received the item. Curated boxes are not eligible for returns  

To be eligible for an exchange, there must be proof of purchase, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and in re-saleable condition when Fuzzy Goat receives it. Shop credit will be for the items purchased and not inclusive of shipping. We recommend insuring your package as we cannot credit returns for items that do not arrive.

If you are requesting to cancel an order, within two hours of your order and we have not wound your yarn and it has not yet reached our Fulfillment Maven, we will issue you shop credit for your whole order. (We incur quite a few non-refundable fees from our merchant services as soon as your order is placed)

Missed Coupon Policy

If you make a request, within the hour of your order, for us to retroactively apply coupon codes or gift card codes not entered at checkout we will need to deduct the merchant processing fees that we will be assessed. We will issue your difference in shop credit to be used in 60 days. Please be sure to fully enter your coupon code or gift card before completing checkout. Use all caps if coupon code is in all caps and Birthday coupons do include the word Birthday

Shipping Policy

We currently automatically ship within the United States, if you would like us to ship outside the US, contact us and we can make arrangements for you. Please allow between 5-10 days for your order to arrive. It may take us longer during big sale promotions. If more than 10 days have passed please email us at heyfuzzy@fuzzygoatyarns.com to review the status of your order. 

If you have ordered one of our subscription boxes or a pre-order item, please take note of the later dates those are expected to ship.

$20.00-$49.99 = $8.90
$50.00-$99.99 = $9.80
$100 and up = $13.90

We don’t have free shipping thresholds, though there are certain times of the year will do a promo for free shipping. As a small indie shop, we price shipping as close to actual cost as possible so we can continue supporting indie dyers, paying designers fairly, and offering personal help in-store and online. It’s one of the ways we keep Fuzzy Goat sustainable and able to serve our community long-term. We truly appreciate your support.

We make every effort to reuse boxes, bubble wrap, and other stuffing for shipping whenever possible. We do focus on our foot-print and where our lovely vendors are located. We are constantly on the hunt for more eco-friendly, cost-efficient options that also keep your precious yarn safe and dry.
